Basement Waterproofing

Why should you waterproof your basement?
Many homes have a subsoil basement, which means one should be concerned about the possibility of a wet basement. Along with a wet basement, there are other problems that might not be as visible to eye. Additional moisture and numerous health issues are caused by a wet basement. Make sure the ground slopes away from your home, and be sure your gutters are clean and working. Sump pumps should be working, and discharge should be clear of debris.

Basement Waterproofing has additional benefits other than being dry:
• Increased property value
• Structurally sound foundation
• A healthier home for you and your family
• A warmer basement in the winter
• Increased living space
• A more attractive and comfortable home
• Sometimes the usable space in your basement can be doubled once complete

Step 1: Rain water travels from outside of the foundation into the basement walls, and also comes up from the water table. As the water rises it creates pressure under the floor which will lead to a leaky basement! We drill a 3/4" hole into every core of every block which is important because if a core is missed, water will remain in the wall.

Step 2: Main drain pipe carries water to sump pump. 4" drain pipe is installed along the exterior walls at the footer level. This drain pipe provides an efficient reliable method of carrying water directly to the sump pump.

Step 3: The sump pump pumps water out. That's all there is to it! You are guaranteed a permanent solution to your water problems.
